Dig Haunted Items Haunted Museum Layout Guide
Turn cleaned relics into visitor gold instead of a messy graveyard storage unit.
The museum is why Dig Haunted Items is a tycoon, not just a digging sim. Official copy tells you to exhibit haunted loot so paying visitors show up. If your plot is a pile of muddy golems and random coffins, guests have nothing to look at and gold stalls. This guide is layout and income, not the shovel swing. Digging stays on how to dig.
You need clean relics. Spray them with how to clean before they ever touch a stand.
The visitor path
Guests spawn toward the front of the plot. They will not hunt a Forbidden you hid behind the Haunting Table. Put the three best pieces on the first stands they walk past:
- Best unique model (skull, golem, lantern, whatever looks expensive).
- Highest curse result you have collected from the Haunting Table.
- A colorful Rare or Epic so the row is not all brown clay.
Side walls get logged Commons. Back corners get duplicates you are too lazy to sell. That hierarchy matters more than extra fences.
Stands before tiles, tiles before decor
Gold order for the plot:
- Empty stands so new keepers have a home.
- Plot size so you can add a second row without overlapping the cleaning pad.
- Lighting or themed pieces that do not block walking.
- Pure vanity (extra gravestones, fog machines) after the museum already prints.
The upgrade planner will sometimes tell you to buy a shovel instead of a tile. Listen to it. A bigger museum with Commons still loses to a small museum fed by an S shovel.
Cleaning pad and table
Leave a bare pad next to spawn for dirty drops. Put the Haunting Table on the edge of that pad. Do not make guests walk through laundry. Friends on a six-player server will also walk through it; that is fine. They should not rearrange your stands. Online co-op is a tour, not a shared inventory.
What earns rent
Visitors pay for interesting, clean, high-curse, high-rarity pieces. They do not pay extra because you own forty duplicate bottles. Use the relic tier list to promote and demote:
- Promote S and A to the front after a haunt.
- Demote logged Commons to the back.
- Sell D-tier instead of giving it a stand. Stands are not storage crates.
If the Index still needs a ugly Common, it can sit on a side stand until the name ticks, then it can go. The Index checklist tells you when that job is done.
Plot upgrades vs forest time
Every minute you spend rotating coffins is a minute you are not in the forest. Do layout in batches:
- After daily rewards.
- After a luck code timer ends.
- After a haunt that created a new S-tier model.
Do not rebuild the wing after every Common mouse.
Showing off without sabotaging income
It is fun to dump every relic in a circle for a screenshot. Do that, take the picture, then restore the visitor path. A screenshot museum prints zero. The live museum should look a little ruthless: best three up front, junk in the bin.
If you play with friends, walk them along the path you designed. If they have to jump a fence to see the Forbidden, guests will not bother either.
When to expand
Expand when every front stand is an A or S piece and you have keepers sitting in the backpack. Expanding to hold more Commons is how gold dies. Expanding to hold a second row of haunted Epics is how tycoons feel like tycoons.
After a patch that adds relics (watch updates), leave one empty stand on purpose. New unique models should not wait in the bag because you filled the wing with bottles.
The museum is a multiplier. Feed it from the forest, keep it clean, and stop decorating until the gold per minute is obvious. 2X Money (280 Robux) doubles that number once the path already pays. It does not create visitors. See gamepasses and how to make gold.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Why is nobody paying me?
Dirty relics and Commons on the front stands. Clean keepers and follow the visitor path above.
Should I buy plot size or a shovel?
Shovel if you still swing the starter. Otherwise a stand or tile. See the upgrade planner.
Can friends place relics on my stands?
Treat inventory as personal. Online co-op is for tours, not shared storage.
Where do haunted pieces go?
Front row after you collect them from the Haunting Table.
